Subscribing Members
- Enter in the URL of the list on mailman:www.dna-nyc.info/mailman/admin/"NameOfList"
- Enter in the list administrative password
- Click on membership management
- Click on mass subscription

How to Enter Email Addresses
New subcribers will get a welcome message that is automaticaly generated from mailman immediately after their addresses are added to the mailing list. If you do not want this message unclick the option under the Configuration Category - General Options. The best practice is to test the mailing list before doing a mass subscription to make sure it is set up properly.
- Scroll down in order to view all the options
- Select appropriate options
- Subcribe: Email address is added to the list
- Invite: An inivitation will be sent to join the
list and the address will be added only after their is a positive
reply.
- Enter in email addresses using the following methods
- Cut and paste into text area
- Type in address
- Upload a file

How to Upload a File From MSOutlook
- Open MS Outlook
- File-export-address book
- Choose proper format to save in. Save in text format
- Open saved file
- Remove the email heading
- Upload file to mailman
- Save changes
- Logout of mailman

How to Upload a File From FileMakerPro
- Open FileMaker Pro
- Save appropriate email field to a text file
- Use SQL to search through the database for email addresses
- Save result as text
- Check saved file
- Remove any extra headings

How to Email the List
- You can use any email client (ie. outlook, webmail)To:"ListName@dna-nyc.Info
- Return to admin page for list
- Under other administrative activities (right)
Click on tend to pending moderator requests. This will depend on how mailman is set-up
- Allow email to go through to list members

How To Remove Members:
- First Way
- Go to the administrative page for the list
- Under Membership Management click on Mass Removal
- Enter in the email addresses to remove
- Enter in addresses one by one
- Upload a file of email addresses to remove
- Second Way
- Go to the administrative page for the list
- Under Membership Management click on Membership List
- Find the appropriate email address by:
- Searching for the email
- Scrolling through the list of members
- Check the column unsubscribe
- Submit changes
